Looking for new and exciting ways to live the green lifestyle?

There are tons of things you can do in your everyday life. You can look at renewable energy sources to power your home or even look at getting your energy through places like www.energysavings.com or the like. You can switch out all those potentially deadly and harmful cleaning supplies for some good old fashioned eco-friendly cleaning. And you can even look at starting a recycling program in your neighborhood to minimize waste. There are so many big things you can do but there are many small things as well.

For example, did you know that up to 4 gallons of water are wasted every time you flush the toilet? While it’s certainly true that you should always flush the toilet, you really don’t need to waste four gallons doing what needs to be done. Why not consider investing in a more efficient toilet? That way you wouldn’t just save water, you would save money on your plumbing – win-win situation.

And what about those lights? Sure, you might really make an effort to make sure you turn off all the lights in the rooms you aren’t using, but what about your children. Sometimes they can’t help it, which is why it might be good to invest in a timer or motion detector for the lights.

And, while these all seem like small changes, they can really add to some tremendous savings – both in resources and your money.
